Wendy’s Holiday Hours 2026: Thanksgiving, Christmas & More

Planning to visit Wendy’s on a holiday? The most important thing to know is that Wendy’s does not publish one universal opening-and-closing schedule for every restaurant. Wendy’s official holiday guidance says many locations are open on major holidays, including Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and New Year’s, but individual restaurant hours can vary.

That means you should not assume your local Wendy’s will follow its normal weekday or weekend schedule on a holiday. The safest approach is to check the specific restaurant shortly before visiting.

Quick Answer

Many Wendy’s restaurants may be open on major U.S. holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Independence Day, and Labor Day. However, Wendy’s does not provide universal holiday opening and closing times for all locations.

Holiday hours can differ by restaurant, so check Wendy’s official location information or mobile app for the location you plan to visit.

Wendy’s Holiday Hours 2026 at a Glance

The statuses above should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every Wendy’s restaurant will open. Wendy’s specifically advises customers to verify their local restaurant because holiday schedules vary.

Is Wendy’s Open on Holidays?

Yes, many Wendy’s locations remain open on holidays, according to Wendy’s official holiday guidance.

The company specifically identifies the following holidays among those when many restaurants may operate:

• Christmas Day
• Christmas Eve
• New Year’s Day
• New Year’s Eve
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Easter
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Halloween
• Thanksgiving

What Wendy’s does not provide is a single nationwide holiday timetable with guaranteed opening and closing times.

That distinction matters. A restaurant being generally open on a particular holiday does not mean every Wendy’s location will be open, nor does it establish the hours your nearest restaurant will follow.

Is Wendy’s Open on Thanksgiving 2026?

Many Wendy’s locations may be open on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026.

Wendy’s includes Thanksgiving in its official holiday guidance, but restaurant-specific hours can vary. A location could potentially operate a different schedule from its normal Thursday hours.

Therefore, do not rely solely on a Wendy’s restaurant’s regular weekly schedule when planning a Thanksgiving visit. Check that restaurant’s current information closer to Thanksgiving Day.

Is Wendy’s Open on Christmas Day 2026?

Many Wendy’s locations may be open on Christmas Day, December 25, 2026, but availability and operating hours are location-specific.

Wendy’s explicitly includes Christmas in its holiday guidance while also emphasizing that restaurant hours can vary.

There is no reliable nationwide opening or closing time that should be applied to every Wendy’s on Christmas Day. Check your selected restaurant before leaving home.

Is Wendy’s Open on Christmas Eve 2026?

Many Wendy’s restaurants may operate on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2026, but Wendy’s does not publish one universal Christmas Eve schedule.

Christmas Eve is specifically included in Wendy’s holiday guidance. Your restaurant may have holiday-specific hours, so its ordinary Thursday schedule should not automatically be treated as its Christmas Eve schedule in 2026.

Is Wendy’s Open on New Year’s Day 2026?

Many Wendy’s locations may be open on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026.

Wendy’s includes New Year’s Day among holidays when many locations may operate, but hours vary by restaurant.

For future planning, the same location-specific approach should be used for New Year’s Day 2027 rather than assuming the restaurant will maintain its normal hours.

Is Wendy’s Open on New Year’s Eve 2026?

Many Wendy’s restaurants may be open on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2026.

However, Wendy’s does not confirm a universal closing time for all restaurants. Because New Year’s Eve schedules may differ from normal operating hours, check your selected restaurant before making late-night plans.

Is Wendy’s Open on Easter 2026?

Many Wendy’s locations may be open on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, based on Wendy’s official guidance identifying Easter among holidays when many restaurants operate.

Exact hours are not universally confirmed.

Because Easter falls on a Sunday, do not assume a restaurant’s ordinary Sunday schedule automatically applies to Easter Sunday.

Is Wendy’s Open on Memorial Day 2026?

For Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, check the specific Wendy’s restaurant you plan to visit.

Wendy’s current general holiday guidance does not provide a chainwide Memorial Day schedule with standardized operating hours. Without location-specific confirmation, it would be inaccurate to assign one opening or closing time to every restaurant.

Is Wendy’s Open on Independence Day 2026?

Many Wendy’s locations may be open on Independence Day, July 4, 2026.

Independence Day is specifically included in Wendy’s official holiday guidance. However, the company still directs customers to verify restaurant-specific hours because schedules can differ.

Is Wendy’s Open on Labor Day 2026?

Many Wendy’s locations may operate on Labor Day, September 7, 2026.

Labor Day appears in Wendy’s official holiday guidance, but there is no single chainwide opening and closing schedule that can safely be applied to every restaurant.

Check your selected location for its Labor Day hours.

Is Wendy’s Open on Halloween 2026?

Many Wendy’s locations may be open on Halloween, October 31, 2026.

Wendy’s includes Halloween among the holidays covered by its general holiday-hours guidance. Individual locations may nevertheless follow different schedules, particularly when it comes to closing time.

Do Wendy’s Holiday Hours Vary by Location?

Yes. Location variation is one of the most important things to understand about Wendy’s holiday hours.

Wendy’s official location pages show that regular restaurant schedules already differ substantially between locations. Some restaurants open earlier, some open later, and closing times can also vary. Official Wendy’s location pages additionally warn that holiday hours may vary.

For example, regular schedules checked on Wendy’s official location pages ranged from restaurants opening early in the morning to other locations opening at 9:00, 10:00, or 10:30 a.m. Closing schedules also differed.

These examples demonstrate location variation in regular hours; they should not be treated as evidence of specific 2026 holiday opening or closing times.

Are Wendy’s Drive-Thru Holiday Hours the Same?

Do not automatically assume that a Wendy’s drive-thru will follow normal hours on a holiday.

Wendy’s official restaurant pages can display drive-thru hours separately from restaurant hours. Holiday schedules may vary, so check the specific location before relying on the normal drive-thru timetable.

The same caution applies when a restaurant normally stays open late. A late regular closing time does not prove that the drive-thru will remain open that late on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or another holiday.

Does Wendy’s Serve Breakfast on Holidays?

Breakfast availability on a holiday should be checked at the individual Wendy’s restaurant.

Some Wendy’s locations offer breakfast, while official location information also shows that services and operating schedules differ between restaurants. A restaurant being open on a holiday does not by itself confirm that breakfast will be served on its normal schedule.

If breakfast is the reason for your visit, verify both:

• Whether the restaurant is open that morning
• Whether breakfast is available at the time you plan to arrive

This is more reliable than checking only the restaurant’s general opening time.

Can You Order Wendy’s Through the App on Holidays?

Wendy’s mobile app can be useful for checking your selected restaurant and current ordering availability.

Wendy’s specifically recommends its location finder or mobile app for current restaurant hours. The app also supports location selection and mobile ordering at participating restaurants.

Holiday availability should still be treated as location-specific. If ordering is unavailable for a particular restaurant or time, do not assume another Wendy’s location follows the same schedule.

How to Check Wendy’s Holiday Hours Near You

The most reliable approach is to verify the exact restaurant rather than searching for a generic nationwide schedule.

1. Use Wendy’s official location finder.
2. Select the exact restaurant you intend to visit.
3. Review its current restaurant hours.
4. Check the Wendy’s mobile app for location-specific information and ordering availability.
5. If holiday information remains unclear, call the restaurant directly.
6. Use Google Maps as a secondary check rather than the sole source for holiday-specific service times.

Remember that regular restaurant hours, drive-thru hours, breakfast availability, and holiday hours are not necessarily the same thing.

Why Regular Wendy’s Hours Should Not Be Used as Holiday Hours

A common mistake is finding a Wendy’s location’s ordinary Monday-through-Sunday schedule and assuming those hours also apply on holidays.

Official Wendy’s location pages explicitly note that holiday hours may vary.

For example, if a restaurant normally operates until midnight on Thursdays, that does not prove it will stay open until midnight on Thanksgiving. Likewise, a restaurant that normally opens early Friday morning may not necessarily use that opening time on Christmas Day.

Holiday-specific verification is therefore more reliable than simply checking what day of the week the holiday falls on.
