Taco Bell Holiday Hours 2026: Open & Closed Holidays

Taco Bell is open on many major U.S. holidays, but there are two important exceptions: the company’s official holiday-hours guidance says Taco Bell is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are different—Taco Bell says restaurants are open, but hours vary by location.

For other holidays, including Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, and New Year’s Day, Taco Bell’s official guidance lists restaurants as open. However, an “open” holiday does not establish one nationwide opening or closing time. Individual restaurant hours should still be checked before visiting.

Quick Answer

Taco Bell is officially listed as closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. It is open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, although Taco Bell specifically says hours vary by location on those days. Taco Bell also lists New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Presidents Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Columbus Day as open holidays.

Exact opening and closing times are not provided as one universal holiday schedule, so check the specific restaurant you plan to visit.

Taco Bell Holiday Hours 2026 at a Glance

These statuses come from Taco Bell’s official Holiday Hours FAQ. Taco Bell does not publish one chainwide opening-and-closing timetable for all of these open holidays, so “open” should not be interpreted as meaning regular hours at every restaurant.

Is Taco Bell Open on Thanksgiving 2026?

No. Taco Bell’s official holiday guidance states that restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026. Because Taco Bell identifies Thanksgiving as a closure day, customers should not rely on a restaurant’s normal Thursday schedule when planning a Thanksgiving visit.

Is Taco Bell Open on Christmas Day 2026?

No. Taco Bell officially states that it is closed on Christmas Day.

Christmas Day falls on Friday, December 25, 2026. Normal Friday operating hours therefore should not be used to determine Christmas Day availability.

Taco Bell Christmas Eve Hours 2026

Taco Bell is open on Christmas Eve, but its official FAQ specifically notes that hours vary by location.

Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.

There is no single verified nationwide Christmas Eve closing time that can safely be applied to every Taco Bell. Before visiting, check the official listing for your selected restaurant rather than assuming it will follow its normal Thursday hours.

Taco Bell New Year’s Hours

Is Taco Bell Open on New Year’s Day?

Yes. Taco Bell’s official holiday guidance says restaurants are open on New Year’s Day.

The company does not provide one universal New Year’s Day opening and closing time in its holiday FAQ. Check the individual restaurant for its current schedule.

Is Taco Bell Open on New Year’s Eve?

Yes. Taco Bell says restaurants are open on New Year’s Eve, but it specifically warns that hours vary by location.

For New Year’s Eve 2026, which falls on Thursday, December 31, verify your restaurant’s closing time before making a late-night trip.

Is Taco Bell Open on Easter 2026?

Yes. Taco Bell lists Easter as an open holiday in its official Holiday Hours FAQ.

Easter Sunday falls on April 5, 2026. Taco Bell does not provide a universal Easter schedule with exact opening and closing times, so the individual restaurant’s hours remain important.

Is Taco Bell Open on Memorial Day?

Yes. Taco Bell’s official guidance says restaurants are open on Memorial Day.

Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 25, 2026. Exact operating hours should be verified for the restaurant you intend to visit.

Is Taco Bell Open on the Fourth of July?

Yes. Taco Bell officially lists restaurants as open on the Fourth of July.

Independence Day falls on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Taco Bell does not provide one chainwide July 4 opening and closing schedule in its holiday guidance.

Is Taco Bell Open on Labor Day?

Yes. Taco Bell says restaurants are open on Labor Day.

Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7, 2026. Because exact restaurant hours are not specified nationally, check the selected location before visiting.

Other Holidays When Taco Bell Is Open

Taco Bell’s official holiday information also confirms that restaurants are open on several other occasions.

• Presidents Day: Open
• Mother’s Day: Open
• Father’s Day: Open
• Columbus Day: Open
• Veterans Day: Open

These are company-listed open holidays, but the official guidance does not establish identical operating hours for every restaurant.

For holidays not addressed in Taco Bell’s current holiday FAQ, a chainwide open/closed policy should not be assumed. Check the selected restaurant directly.

Do Taco Bell Holiday Hours Vary by Location?

Yes, exact operating hours can vary between Taco Bell restaurants. Taco Bell’s location information directs customers to individual restaurants for hours and notes that hours and participation can vary.

This distinction is especially important during holidays.

For example, Taco Bell explicitly confirms that Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve hours vary by location. The company does not provide a single nationwide closing time for either holiday.

A restaurant being listed as “open” on a holiday therefore tells you its general holiday status, not necessarily the exact time it will open or close.

How to Check Taco Bell Holiday Hours Near You

The most reliable approach is to verify the specific Taco Bell restaurant rather than relying on its usual weekly schedule.

1. Use Taco Bell’s official store locator. Search by city, state, ZIP code, or location to find the restaurant you plan to visit. Taco Bell provides restaurant-level operating information through its location system.
2. Check the Taco Bell app or ordering system. Select the intended restaurant and review its current availability.
3. Review the specific Taco Bell location page. This is more useful than assuming all restaurants in a city have identical hours.
4. Call the restaurant directly when holiday timing is critical. This is particularly useful on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, when Taco Bell explicitly says hours vary.
5. Use Google Maps only as a secondary check. A third-party listing can be useful, but Taco Bell’s own restaurant information or direct confirmation should take priority for holiday planning.

Remember that regular store hours and holiday hours are not necessarily the same. A location that normally stays open late should not automatically be assumed to maintain those hours on a holiday.

Check Hours and Availability in the Taco Bell App

Taco Bell promotes its app for ordering and Taco Bell Rewards. The company’s official location system also allows customers to select restaurants rather than treating the chain as having one universal operating schedule.

When ordering around a holiday, make sure the correct restaurant is selected before relying on displayed availability.

Holiday opening status also does not guarantee that every ordering method or menu option will operate identically to a normal day.

Holiday Drive-Thru, Delivery, and Mobile Ordering

A Taco Bell restaurant being open on a holiday should not automatically be interpreted as confirmation that its drive-thru, delivery, dining room, and mobile-ordering options all follow identical hours.

Availability can depend on the individual restaurant and ordering channel. Taco Bell’s official location pages advise customers to contact restaurants regarding hours and participation because these can vary.

If you specifically need drive-thru, delivery, or mobile ordering on a holiday, verify that service for the selected restaurant when checking its holiday schedule.

Sources & Verification

This guide was checked on September 25, 2026, using Taco Bell’s official Holiday Hours FAQ, official restaurant locator, official hours information, and current Taco Bell website information.

Taco Bell’s official guidance confirms the most important chain-level holiday policies: Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are closed, while Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are open with hours varying by location. It also confirms open status for New Year’s Day, Presidents Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day.

Exact restaurant operating hours should be verified at the location level because Taco Bell’s official location information states that hours and participation can vary.

For 2026 holiday planning, the clearest Taco Bell policy is simple: Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are closed. Taco Bell lists many other major holidays as open, while Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve specifically have hours that vary by location.

If you are visiting on an open holiday, check the specific restaurant shortly before leaving. A normal weekly schedule should not be treated as proof of that location’s holiday opening or closing time.
