Costco Hours for Executive Members 2026: Early Access Explained

Costco Executive members have an important shopping benefit to consider when planning a warehouse visit: access to designated early shopping hours. However, these hours are different from the regular opening times available to Gold Star and Business members.

Understanding Costco hours for Executive members can help you determine when you can enter the warehouse, whether early access applies on weekends, and which services may operate on a separate schedule.

This guide explains Executive member shopping access, the difference between early access and standard warehouse hours, and how to confirm the schedule at your preferred Costco location before visiting.

Quick Answer

Costco offers designated early warehouse shopping access for Executive members at participating U.S. warehouses. The commonly published Executive member shopping window is 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, although location-specific schedules and exceptions should be confirmed.

Executive members can also shop during regular warehouse operating hours. Early shopping access does not mean that every Costco service, including the pharmacy, gas station, or food court, necessarily follows the same schedule.

Costco Executive Member Hours at a Glance

Costco’s official Executive membership information confirms the following early shopping schedule, effective June 30, 2025.

These are standard opening times published by Costco for U.S. warehouses. Closing hours, holiday exceptions, and certain warehouse schedules should be checked individually.

What Time Does Costco Open for Executive Members?

Costco Executive members can begin shopping at 9:00 AM under the company’s published early-access schedule.

The benefit provides a head start before regular warehouse shopping begins for other membership tiers.

Monday Through Friday

Executive members receive one hour of exclusive early shopping access, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

At 10:00 AM, the regular shopping period begins for Gold Star and Business members.

Saturday

Saturday has a shorter exclusive shopping window.

Executive members can enter at 9:00 AM, while Gold Star and Business members can begin shopping at 9:30 AM.

This gives Executive members 30 minutes of early access.

Sunday

Sunday follows the weekday early-access pattern.

Executive members can shop beginning at 9:00 AM, with regular membership access beginning at 10:00 AM.

What Time Does Costco Close for Executive Members?

Executive membership provides earlier warehouse entry, not a later closing time.

The official warehouse pages reviewed in October 2026 show these closing times for both Executive and regular members:

These hours were displayed by Costco warehouses in Pennsylvania, California, Maryland, and New York. They should not be treated as a guaranteed schedule for every location.

Executive members can continue shopping throughout regular operating hours, subject to the warehouse’s posted closing time.

When Did Costco Start Early Shopping Hours for Executive Members?

Costco identifies June 30, 2025, as the effective date for its Executive member early shopping benefit.

The policy introduced a specific period when Executive members could enter warehouses before the regular shopping period.

Previously, Executive membership was primarily distinguished by financial rewards and additional membership benefits rather than exclusive daily warehouse opening hours.

The early-access benefit is separate from Costco’s annual 2% Executive reward on eligible purchases.

Costco Executive vs. Gold Star Membership Hours

The primary scheduling difference between Executive and Gold Star membership is warehouse opening time.

Costco currently lists its U.S. Executive membership at $130 annually and Gold Star membership at $65 annually, plus applicable sales tax.

For shoppers comparing membership levels, early warehouse access is one benefit to consider alongside the Executive reward and other membership features.

Do Costco Executive Members Get Early Access Every Day?

Yes. Costco’s published Executive member shopping schedule covers all seven days of the week.

However, the amount of exclusive shopping time differs:

• Monday through Friday: 60 minutes
• Saturday: 30 minutes
• Sunday: 60 minutes

This schedule applies to regular operating days. It does not guarantee that a warehouse will open at 9:00 AM on a holiday or during an exceptional closure.

Do Costco Executive Member Hours Vary by Location?

Costco publishes a standard early-access schedule, but shoppers should confirm the hours of their specific warehouse.

A review of official Costco location information on October 11, 2026, showed the following schedules.

All four reviewed warehouses displayed the same regular-week opening and closing schedule for Executive members.

This comparison confirms the published schedule at those locations but does not establish that every U.S. warehouse follows identical hours.

Does Costco Executive Early Access Include the Pharmacy, Gas Station, and Food Court?

Early warehouse access should not be confused with the operating hours of individual Costco services.

Costco Pharmacy

Pharmacy hours can differ from general warehouse hours.

For example, the City of Industry, California, warehouse lists pharmacy hours of 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday, and closure on Sunday.

The pharmacy may also have a temporary midday closure when only one pharmacist is on duty.

Costco Gas Station

Costco gas stations can operate on a different schedule from the warehouse.

At the City of Industry location, the gas station’s published weekday opening time is 5:30 AM, earlier than the Executive warehouse shopping period.

Check gas station hours separately when planning a fuel stop.

Costco Food Court

Food court availability should also be checked by warehouse.

Executive early access does not, by itself, establish that every food court service or menu item is available at 9:00 AM.

Costco Tire Center

Costco’s official pages for several reviewed warehouses state that tire center operating hours are the same for Executive, Gold Star, and Business members.

Appointment availability and service operations should be confirmed with the selected tire center.

Costco Executive Member Hours on Holidays

Costco’s regular Executive shopping schedule does not override warehouse holiday closures or adjusted holiday hours.

A warehouse that is closed for a holiday will not provide its regular early shopping period.

Holiday operating information should be verified separately for:

• New Year’s Day
• Easter Sunday
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve

The current official Executive membership benefit information does not provide a complete, separate holiday schedule for early access.

Use the selected warehouse’s official holiday information to confirm whether early shopping is available on a particular date.

How to Check Costco Executive Member Hours Near You

The most reliable way to confirm Executive shopping access is through Costco’s official warehouse information.

1. Open Costco’s official website.
2. Select the Find a Warehouse feature.
3. Search by city, state, or ZIP code.
4. Open your preferred warehouse.
5. Find the section labeled Executive Member Hours.
6. Compare those times with Gold Star & Business Member Hours.
7. Review any posted holiday exceptions.

If your warehouse does not clearly display Executive member hours, contact the location directly before making an early-morning trip.

Google Maps can help locate a warehouse, but its general business hours may not distinguish between Executive and regular membership access.

Can You Check Costco Hours in the App?

Costco’s mobile app provides access to warehouse information, making it another useful starting point when planning a visit.

Select your warehouse and review the available location details. For the most authoritative distinction between membership-specific schedules, consult the official warehouse hours listing.

Remember that warehouse shopping hours and individual department hours are not necessarily identical.
